DDI Development partners with Django Girls Kharkiv in 2019

We are happy to report that our company is supporting and coaching Django Girls workshop on February 23, 2019, in Kharkov (Ukraine). This workshop is aiming to introduce women and girls who never coded before to the world of programming. Organizing a free one-day workshop and inviting women and girls to attend and learn basic skills and knowledge in the following technologies - HTML, CSS, Python, JS, and Django - makes programming more accessible clear and straightforward to women and doesn't require previous coding experience.

Django Girls is free and volunteer-run organization. It's a forward-thinking and extraordinarily successful initiative, and we are proud to support and coach it. A vast number of girls has the chance to take their totally approachable and easily understandable first introduction to programming, increase diversity within the Django community and set yourself up to progress professionally.

The workshop is designed to take girls through the Django web framework to catch up with the necessary basic skills. During the workshop they will learn the following:

• A simple explanation of how the Internet works.
• Installation of Python, Django, HTML, CSS, JS etc.
• Creating a Django app.
• Django models, views, URLs, and templates.
• Basics of HTML and CSS.
• Using Bootstrap and Google Fonts.
• Deploying on PythonAnywhere.

After the completion, girls will create their own website that can be showcased on their portfolio. Whilst your goals should be tailored to your personal aims and needs, we will do our best to teach you and give you an idea of further development which will help push you towards success and the professional accomplishments you are striving for.
