Notesmaster Namibia is announced to become a winner at the 2015 World Summit Award in the e-learning and science category. As a part of the United Nations Summit of the Information Society the WSA global initiative encourages digital innovations that contribute to education and science development.
Who they are?
Notesmaster Namibia is a free e-learning platform which allows teachers and students to digitally exchange learning materials within the curriculum of the National Institute of Educational Development. The e-learning resource is included in the whole Notesmaster network which covers numerous countries around the world providing tools to manage online education according to local curriculums.
How did we help Notesmaster Namibia?
The main technical criteria WSA sticks to are functionality, the quality of the technical realization, and UX design findings. DDI Development has been working as a software vendor with Notesmaster since 2011. Our role was to provide the front and back end development as well as the maintenance. During the development course, we have completed numerous tasks, ranging from integration of third-party applications to creating API and updating the framework. Currently, the system is powered by Symfony 2 and Django based API. We’re also developing the third version Notesmaster.
The project will be presented by the Notesmaster team at the WSA Global Congress which will be held in Shenzhen, China at the beginning of 2016.
